THE ONLY ENGINE TREATMENT WITH ZTM

A remarkably effective, easy-to-use protectant fluid for both gasoline and diesel engines. PRO-TECH's unique additive package is a blend of two types of zinc for anti-wear, TEFLON® and molybdenum, along with numerous other functional components. Its formulation is specifically blended to aid in the protection of metal surfaces in the engine by helping reduce friction and wear.

FRICTION FIGHTER

Most motor oils contain some form of zinc, which provides a degree of wear protection. More friction reduction takes place in the presence of the unique ZTM blend. Conclusive testing has been conducted on the Falex Pin & Vee Block Machine to illustrate some important frictional properties. Note the positive influence of TEFLON® on the reduction of friction and wear. 
A special molybdenum additive is utilized in this unique ZTM package. It helps provide exceptional friction reduction in the boundary lubrication area. This influential ZTM system has been measured on the SRV Tester. The following graph shows the results achieved by the base motor oil, three other additives including commercial moly (MoS2) and finally the special moly additive used in PRO-TECH ENGINE TREATMENT with ZTM. Obviously, the very best friction reduction is attained with Texas Refinery's special moly additive.

Improves Wear Reduction

The first two graphs illustrate the friction reduction capabilities. This significant modification in friction translates into desirable, efficient wear reduction. Testing conducted on a Four Ball Wear Tester consistently measures remarkable wear reduction when a motor oil treated with this product is used, compared to the base oil. The wear reduction carries over into the boundary lubrication area, as well. 

Extreme Pressure Protection

This chart shows some important advantages of using PRO-TECH with ZTM. Wear is greatly reduced. Better load-carrying capacity of the lubricant is achieved. Wear protection is so good that the load must exceed 60 kg before it reaches the boundary lubrication.

Protects Yellow Metals

When working with formulations, the evaluator must test various conditions to make certain the finished product will provide maximum performance. One of these circumstances is the effect on copper alloys. The accepted test run is ASTM D130, detection of copper corrosion from Petroleum Products by Copper Strip Tarnish Test. This is very crucial in engines due to the presence of yellow metals (including bronze). PRO-TECH with ZTM passed the ASTM D130 Test with an outstanding A1 rating.

Helps Extend Engine Life

Contributes to longer engine life in ways that go beyond friction reduction and improved wear. Extra protection is offered to combat oil ring deposits. Valve train wear protection is enhanced. Significant improvement in sludge control is also achieved. Better performance under severe operating conditions will also contribute to longer engine life.

Helps Neutralizes Acids

Has a 15 TBN for excellent acid neutralization. The higher the TBN, the greater the protection provided against the corrosive effects of acids. With everyday motor oils you can expect a boost in the TBN level by using PRO-TECH with ZTM.

Provides Cold-Start Lube

It's a multi-grade formulation with extra additives to provide easier engine startability and more dependable start-ups in cold weather and after long out-of-service periods. With PRO-TECH ZTM you help fight engine wear before it starts.

For Gasoline And Diesel

To maximize engine protection for both gasoline and diesel, PRO-TECH engine treatment is formulated with a compounded carrier oil that meets the latest API SJ-CG4 specifications. The usage rates for gasoline and diesel are the same.

  • For a crankcase capacity of 4 quarts, add 1 quart of PRO-TECH to 3 quarts of high quality motor oil.
  • For a crankcase capacity of 5 quarts, add 1 quart of PRO-TECH to 4 quarts of high quality motor oil.
  • For a crankcase capacity of more than 5 quarts, use a ratio of 20% PRO-TECH to 80% high quality motor oil.

Helps Clean Engine

Has a high detergent-dispersant level which translates to a cleaner, more efficient operating engine.
