PRO-SPEC®
IV SYNTHETIC BLEND helps provide longer engine life through careful
selection of base oils and careful blending of excellent additives.
|
| Each new generation
of engines presents its own special problems. Diesel engines developed
for the heavy duty market, now incorporate catalytic converters and particulate
filter/traps along with exhaust gas recirculation systems. These new engines
must run on Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel and the engine oils must also meet
certain chemical limits. Texas Refinery Corp. has developed a superior
product called PRO-SPEC® IV
SYNTHETIC BLEND, SAE 15W/40 for the new generation
of heavy duty diesel engines. Fortunately, this wonderful oil can also
be used in gasoline engines and older diesel engines as well as the new
generation of diesel engines. |
High
Quality Base Oils
A synthetic blend which incorporates the
purest and finest severely hydro-cracked and hydro-finished base stocks
available. This unique combination of base stocks means PRO-SPEC®
IV
SYNTHETIC BLEND provides fast oil flow for
superior cold cranking protection. Today's low emission engines
operate with higher temperatures and this product ensures a superior oil
film protection for vital moving engine parts even under heated conditions.
Meets
and Exceeds SM/CJ-4
Meets and exceeds
the
latest diesel engine oil specifications of CI-4 and CJ-4. This product
also meets and/or exceeds the gasoline engine oil specification SM.
In addition, it meets
and exceeds Mack EO-O Premium Plus 07, Cummins CES-20081, Detroit Diesel
PG 93K217, Volvo VDS-4, and ACEA E7.
Contains
Powerful Anti-Oxidant
PRO-SPEC®
IV SYNTHETIC BLEND has been developed with
some interesting and unique additives to give superb performance. For example,
this formulation contains a special, powerful anti-oxidant. The TEOST test
results measuring high temperature deposits show this product has a stunning
63.5% improvement over other motor oils. The TFOUT test measuring oxidation
stability, shows that PRO-SPEC®
IV SYNTHETIC BLEND ran 17 times as long as
other motor oils. Again, an indication of the power of the anti-oxidation
additive system used exclusively by TRC.
Improves
Fuel Economy
Offers many features
and benefits. The formula is emission system friendly, provides reduced
valve train wear, reduced piston deposits, reduced oil consumption, offers
enhanced soot control, provides corrosion protection, reduces oxidation
oil thickening, maintains shear stability and even offers improved fuel
economy.
Forward
Thinking Formula With Backward Compatibility
Formulated to
be backward compatible to all API categories, allowing it to be used in
older diesel engines as well as the year 2007 and newer engines. PRO-SPEC®
IV SYNTHETIC BLEND shows improved performance
in controlling piston deposits, soot, viscosity, shear stability and valve
train wear protection. The improvements come in spite of the fact the 2007
and newer engines create a tougher operating climate because of the combination
of exhaust gas recirculation systems, catalytic converters and particulate
filter/trap designs.
Contains
TBN Booster
The majority of
the new motor oils produced with the year 2007 and newer engines in mind
have a TBN value of 7 to 8. PRO-SPEC®
IV SYNTHETIC BLEND is made with a special
TBN booster so the TBN level is a minimum of 10 which is unusual for the
new generation oils. Texas Refinery Corp. built this product this way because
in mixed fleets, it is possible for this oil to be used in older engines
using higher fuel sulfur levels than should be used in the new generation
engines. It is a product specially designed for more severe operating conditions
and is a wonderful extra measure of protection for the newer engines.
