PRO-SPEC® III LSA MOTOR OIL helps provide longer engine life through careful selection of base oils and careful blending of excellent additives.

PRO-SPEC® III LSA has been designed as a low sulfated ash oil to meet the latest OEM specifications, which provides excellent soot control, excellent acid neutralization, maximum thermal stability and extraordinary protection against wear under the most severe of conditions.  Has also been formulated to help keep engines clean and free of deposits while stilll providing extraordinary extended drain intervals.

Protects New Designed Diesel Engines

Ever increasing environmental regulations have caused diesel engines designers to drastically change their engine designs. While major manufacturers such as Cummins and Mack have moved in one direction with EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) engines, other major manufacturers, such as Caterpillar, have moved in another direction with the ACERT (Advanced Combustion Emissions Reduction Technology) engines. There are drastic differences between the EGR engines and the ACERT engines. Recognizing these major differences, Texas Refinery Corp. has researched, developed and manufactures its PRO-SPEC® III LSA to meet a wide range of engine equipment needs. Has been designed to meet and exceed the warranty requirements for all major diesel engine manufacturers, including Caterpillar and the new ECF-1 Specification, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, International, Mack, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and host of others. PRO-SPEC® III LSA-15W/40 is truly a Universal Fleet Oil.

High Quality Base Stock

A blend of synthetic oil, which incorporates the purest and finest severely hydro-cracked and hydro-finished base stocks available. This unique combination of base stocks provides improved oil flow for superior cold cranking protection. In addition, when high engine operating temperatures are encountered, which is common in today's engines, this unique synthetic blend ensures a superior oil film of protection for vital moving engines parts.

The pure and highly refined base stocks contribute to an oil with low oil volatility. Because of the base stocks ability to resist oxidation during high heat operation, you use less oil due to consumption and evaporation. This means longer service life for the oil and reduced oil consumption, yet better engine protection. PRO-SPEC® III LSA base stock, along with an outstanding additive package, means no varnish, gum or sludge build-up on internal engine parts.

Contains Superior Additives

Now uses new generation additives in even greater amounts because new diesel engine designs expose engine oils to elevated amounts of contamina- tion.  Special compounds are needed to neutralize acids, plus suspend and disperse large amounts of soot. PRO-SPEC® III LSA MOTOR OIL keeps soot and particulate matter suspended (in the form of smaller particles) to prevent wear to liners, rings and the valve train.

New engine designs place higher temperatures on the engine oil, which coupled with exhaust gases, could act as a catalyst for oxidation of the oil.  An improperly functioning exhaust gas recirculation system can cause much more rapid deterioration of an engine oil.  Uses a beefed up oxidation inhibitor to counteract oxidation or sludging.  Routine oil analysis & PRO-SPEC® III LSA MOTOR OIL helps to allow longer drain intervals.

Improved Soot Control

Provides superior soot control.  Many engine designs are putting even more soot back into the crankcase.  Texas Refinery Corp. PRO-SPEC® III LSA MOTOR OIL contains top of the line dispersants to control soot thickening, sludge, varnish as well as keep other deposit pre-cursors suspended in the oil so that they can be filtered out.

High TBN Level

Made with a 14 total base number (TBN).  This is extremely important since air is over 70% nitrogen and some engines take in 16,000 gallons of air per minute.  Acidic compounds can form because of all the Nitrogen; therefore, the ability of PRO-SPEC® III LSA MOTOR OIL to control corrosion is a top priority. The extra protection from the high Total Base Number in provides exceptional protection to reduce ring and liner wear.

Contains TBN Booster

Also contains superior detergents to provide high temperature cleanliness, control corrosive wear, help suspend soot and to neutralize acids.  There is even a total base number (TBN) booster added to the formula to help with the control of extra problems created by exhaust gas recirculation systems in new diesel engines. The TBN booster also helps the motor oil extend drain intervals since there is a large reserve of detergents and dispersants providing extra protection.  PRO-SPEC® III has an execellent TBN reserve to enhance extended drain intervals.
