N-ERGY 5010

DESCRIPTION:

N-ERGY 5010 is an extremely concentrated cleaning additive. Composed of wetting and penetrating agents and a special chelating ingredient.

PURPOSE:

N-ERGY 5010 is designed as an additive to caustic soda. This combination has powerful synergistic characteristics. When mixed with caustic soda, N-ERGY 5010 removes rust from ferrous metal surfaces. It also degreases and strips paint in the same operation.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

N-ERGY 5010 is versatile and capable of solving many cleaning problems. No attempt is made to make a definite recommendation because of the variety of problems encountered. Here are some basic guidelines to use, however, as a starting point. For cleaning:

MEDIUM to HEAVY RUST: a concentration of 1 1/2 ounces N-ERGY 5010 and 6 1/2 ounces of caustic soda per gallon of water is a minimum recommendation. Keep the N-ERGY 5010  / caustic soda ratio at 1 to 4 (1 part N-ERGY 5010 to 4 parts of caustic soda). Concentrations as high as 6 1/2 ounces of N-ERGY 5010 and 25 1/2 ounces (1 pound, 9 1/2 ounces) of caustic soda per gallon of water may be used.

LIGHT RUST STRIPPING: the N-ERGY 5010 caustic soda ratio may be dropped to 1 to 3 ounces of N-ERGY 5010 with 9 to 27 ounces of caustic soda, respectively, per gallon of water. These recommendations are accurate only when the N-ERGY 5010 and caustic soda are measured on a weight basis. All N-ERGY 5010 caustic ratios and concentrations should be used at 190°F to the boil for best results.

ADVANTAGES:

1. Greatly reduced cost.
2. Long tank life.
3. Excellent wetting and penetrating.
4. Removes rust, paint and grease in one operation.
5. 100% active.
6. Highly flexible. Solves many cleaning problems.
7. More cleaning power through synergistic action.
8. Free rinsing.

PRECAUTIONS:

N-ERGY 5010 and caustic soda SHOULD NOT BE USED ON ALUMINUM OR ALUMINUM ALLOYS unless an etched surface is desired. N-ERGY 5010 is highly alkaline when used with caustic soda. Care should be taken to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

SKIN. CONTACT: Flush with large quantities of water.

EYE CONTACT: Flush with large quantities of water and SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.

Like all caustic materials, a combination of N-ERGY 5010 and caustic soda or caustic soda alone, should always be added to water which is at room temperature or lower.

Consult MSDS for more detailed information on the safe handling of this product.

HOW TO MEASURE A VAT To measure a vat you will need to multiply its:
L(length) ft. x W(width) ft. x D*(depth) ft x 7.48 = (gallons of working solution)

or

L(length) in. x W(width) in. x D(depth) in. = 1728 x 7.48 = (gallons of working solution)
* To arrive at the proper depth measurement, you must measure from the top of the working solution inside the vat to the bottom of the vat, NOT from the top of the vat itself. Do not put tape measure inside of vat. Measure from the OUTSIDE ONLY.
TO DETERMINE THE AMOUNT OF VAT PRODUCT THE CUSTOMER WILL NEED

Gallons of Working Solution x Recommended Product Concentration = Product Quantity
For Example:    Recommended product concentration is 1 pound per gallon solution: Vat measurement: 5 x 3 x 2 = 224.40 gallons x 1 = 225 pounds of product
Recommended product concentration is 1'/2 pounds per gallon of solution:

Vat measurement: 5 x 3 x 2 = 224.40 gallons x 1.5 = 338 pounds of product
